Historic City of Vigan

Vigan is unique for having preserved much of its Hispanic colonial character, particularly its grid street pattern and historic urban lay out. Its significance also lies on how the different architectural influences are blended to create a homogenous townscape. The Vigan City Fiesta is on January 25th, the feast day of St. Paul, the Patron St. These double celebration revolved on the thanksgiving for all the gains that the city have reaped over the past years.

The conversion of Saint Paul is celebrated every year on the 25th day of January. It is one of the most celebrated holiday for Bigueños. Having street dancing is one of their way to celebrate this holiday.

Vigan Fiesta is the most wonderful festivals. It is indeed the most wonderful as it is full of celebrations. We still see some influences of spanish colonizers in Vigan. One is festival like this. For me, it is a wonderful experience if you will go and watch these beautiful festivals and traditions.

Bigueños are so proud as they have this traditions and festivals. Even in this times, they are still doing their traditions and cherishing what they have. Vigan is truly a wonderful place.
